Shaping the future of the Rhondda Fach

As your MP, I worked hard with colleagues on RCT Council and the Senedd to secure a £20m investment in the Rhondda Fach.

People have told me for years that the Fach is the forgotten valley. Now Labour is back in Government in Westminster, I’m determined to change that.

This is a huge investment and will provide £2million of funding, every year for the next ten years. Money to improve Ferndale, Tylorstown, Wattstown, Penrhys – the whole valley from Maerdy to Ynyshir. It is money we can use on a whole raft of local improvements, from parks, play areas and green spaces, to better footpaths, safer streets, upgraded public spaces, and bringing important local buildings back into use.

How the money will be spend will be decided by local people, like YOU. So we need as many residents to sign up and get involved as possible.
