Mabon Trust

Mabon Trust offers small grants to community projects, organisations, individuals and charities that provide positive changes and opportunities for communities in the Rhondda.

The trust is offering grants of up to £250 to eligible applicants. These grants can be used for various purposes, such as trips, activities, and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals or organisations who require financial assistance.

+ Funding Criteria

Groups

  • any charitable activities such as arts, community sports, education healthcare and working with young people and the elderly.

Individuals

  • course fees and equipment.
  • travel costs for education and training.

We love seeing the difference your projects make in the community. If your application is successful, we ask that you share photos and updates with us so we can help promote your work. Please note that successful applicants will be asked to promote their project through social media platforms such as Facebook. By applying, you agree that the Mabon Trust may publicly share details, images, and outcomes from your project to highlight the impact of its funding.

+ What happens to my application?

Once we have ascertained that we have all the information we need we will make a decision. We will contact you if you have been successful, and we will ask for the following information:

  • Bank details of your organisation, in the form of a copy of the organisation’s bank statement, paying-in slip or cheque book.

  • In some cases, we may ask for ID, such as driving licence or passport.

We reserve the right to ask for references or speak to other funders about your organisation. Please be aware, because of the high level of applications we receive, we regret we can ONLY respond to those who are successful.

+ How long should my application be?

We ask all organisations to complete our online Application Form and answer questions as fully as possible. Please follow the word count guide on the application form questions where stated.

+ If I receive funding, what are the reporting requirements?

The reporting requirements will be confirmed to you when the funding is transferred. The frequency will depend on the project and the amount of money received, however we do not want to make any reporting overly onerous for you.
